Student Groups
The Poets and Writers Coalition is a student-led organization created to support the artistic community at San José State University! We believe that everyone is a creative, everyone has a story, and we want to tap into that love for writing and storytelling and support writers all across campus.
Our mission statement is: "Providing a space for student creative writers to share, support, and connect!"
We welcome all majors and levels of experience!
If you’re looking for a place to talk craft and spend a few minutes writing, join
us in our weekly meetings! We also help host writing events such as the
Legacy of Poetry Festival. Plus, our literary magazine gives students the opportunity
to publish their creative writing and art! We publish hard copies through Barnes &
Noble Press and all contributors get a copy for free! View the online versions on
