Swim Lesson Information
The Timpany Center offers fun, effective, and affordable swim lessons for participants of all ages and skill levels. Most instructors are educated in the field of kinesiology and have studied subjects such as adapted physical activity, motor development, motor learning and biomechanics. The Timpany Center’s pool is the perfect place for swim lessons! Our indoor pool is maintained at 92°F to offer a comfortable water setting throughout the entire year. Additionally, our pool offers a zero-depth entry (steps and a ramp) with the depth ranging from 2 to 8 feet.

Timpany Center Adaptive and General Swim Lessons
Timpany Center is proud to offer ADAPTIVE and GENERAL swim lessons. We offer our aquatic programs year-round in our warm water facility and every population can participate, no matter the level of fitness, age, or physical and mental state.
Our ADAPTED SWIM LESSON PROGRAM is designed for individuals with developmental and/or cognitive challenges. Private swimming lessons for kids and adults with special needs at Timpany Center provide individualized attention and critical water safety skills. This program also promotes fitness, water play skills, foundational swimming skills, and social-emotional wellbeing through fun pool-based activities.
Our GENERAL SWIM LESSON curriculum is a progression that helps swimmers develop their water safety and swimming skills. This program is intended to further develop technique and conditioning of swimmers who have been newly introduced to swimming.

Lesson Types and Rates:
Private Lessons: Instructor-to-swimmer ratio: 1:1
35-minute lessons: $47.00
Semi-private Lessons: Instructor-to-swimmer ratio: 1:2
35-minute lesson: $40.00 per individual
Group Lessons: Instructor-to-swimmer ratio: 1:3-4
45-minute lesson: $32.00 per individual

Monday Float For Your Life Clinic - 3:00-3:45pm - Adult Beginner:
This clinic is for beginner swimmers. The goal of this Saturday series of clinics is to learn to float and recover to standing position in 4 feet depth water.
The scope of lessons includes water safety topics and depending on individual comfort
& confidence being in the water:
• Breath control
• Head submersion
• Bobbing
• Buoyancy on front
• Recovery to standing position
• Buoyancy on back
• Rolling from front to back
• Treading water
Monday Freestyle Clinic-4:00-4:45pm-Adult Intermediate:
This clinic is for intermediate swimmers. The goal of this Monday series of clinics
is to improve basic skills, fitness, and freestyle technique.
• Front glide
• Freestyle kick
• Freestyle arm strokes
• Coordination of arms and legs
• Side breathing
Wednesday Float For Your Life Clinic-3:00-3:45pm-Adult Beginner:
This clinic is for beginner swimmers. The goal of this Wednesday series of clinics is to learn to float and recover to standing position in 4 feet depth water.

is to improve basic skills, fitness, and breaststroke swimming technique.
