Registering for Courses as a Change of Major Student
Change of major students must adhere to all prerequisite requirements for courses listed in change of major requirement materials. Students who do meet a course's "major" prerequisite can request a permission number to enroll in the course(s).
Apply to Engineering
Submit your online Change of Major application by listed term's deadline. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
You should apply during the semester in which final change of major requirements are being completed.
Registering for Courses as a Newly Accepted Student
If accepted as a new College of Engineering student or in a new major within the College of Engineering, your records will be updated to meet the "major" prerequisite for the course(s) you are interested in taking. This process is not automatic, as such, you might not be able to register for some courses until the first week of instruction.
Once accepted, use the following planning tools to determine which courses you should register for:
- The "what if scenario" of your MyPlanner
- The flowchart of prerequisite courses for the major
- The degree requirements page for the major in the university catalog
